Default Exhaust options wrx sti

Afternoon all.
so car is very nearly finished ( next week apparently) am thinking exhaust options.
so far it will have rcm headers u/e , rcm u/p , invidia decat 3” d/p.
prior to this it had standard headers and up but did have the decat dp. Now will adding the headers and up make a bit more of a burble over standard and it will also have had a Perrin caik added. I guess the answer is get it back and see if it’s made a difference then maybe review. I don’t want loud more deep rumble / bass or is this impossible. Is anyone using a invidia q300 or alike ?
will be needing cat back I presume ?? Any info would be great thanks.

better off with a Harvey 'trick' up-pipe if you want to maximize spool / response.........

Agree! Spool was much better with this fitted. I had this with standard ported and wrapped headers, full decat and HKS exhaust.

I think it’s a very similar copy I had one on my 04 sti with his headers and it made a big difference.
it’s the 3 stud

not worried about spool more noise

With stainless headers and a decat, anything other than the more quieter exhausts will be loud. Even a Q300 will be fairly loud with that setup.

I had stainless headers on the car for a day! I hated the sound and the car felt not as responsive lower down. There was a bit more power top end but felt horrible as car only had 330 bhp. Would not get them unless you chasing big numbers.

tbink they will already have been fitted ! Only option will be to get the old ones and port them. I’ll see how it is when done.
will also make sense to see how it sounds before committing to exhaust cost

we have seen (poor) imitations BUT unless you understand the 'flow' then they simply don't work as effectively..........
also confirmed by customers duped into buying what they thought was the real item and then later changing with added performance

it’s the rcm one with what looks like an internal reduction to increase velocity?? I must say when I fitted Harvey’s kit to my o4 the difference was considerably better.
have you any in the shelf for immediate dispatch ?? Lol

yes these are well tested and proven by not only ourselves / Harvey but also the many tuners & mappers........

the RCM / GT2 Spec one is basically too large even with the 'restrictor'...

ok so fitting no issue ? Price and could you get it here this week ? Lol , I could wrap it here if it saves time. Can pm price if you want and I’ll ring with address. I might get you to send it direct to garage.
