Silicon inlet hose
Evening all, got a quick question? My intake
inlet hose on my UK blobeye WRX/STI has split and I need to order a new one that can handle 500bhp. My question is can I just buy any pipe or should I buy a certain brand? My current one has no markings etc and I can’t for the life of me remember where I bought it from. Thanks in Advance for any suggestions.

I have a stealthy matt black Samco one on my STi Hawk. It's only got a very small Samco logo heat stamped onto it and when fitted it doesn't show, kinda looks OEM.
Was a sod to fit though, Len at Subaru 4 You was going to take off the inlet manifold, but managed to wriggle it into place...but wasn't easy.
Very good quality and it's never split / vacuumed itself closed on boost etc as it's wire reinforced, but I'm only running 342bhp....I've had it about 4 years now I guess.
Not cheap, but here's a RCM link, so the usual RCM price tag lol
