Default Silicon inlet hose

Evening all, got a quick question? My intake
inlet hose on my UK blobeye WRX/STI has split and I need to order a new one that can handle 500bhp. My question is can I just buy any pipe or should I buy a certain brand? My current one has no markings etc and I can’t for the life of me remember where I bought it from. Thanks in Advance for any suggestions.

I have a stealthy matt black Samco one on my STi Hawk. It's only got a very small Samco logo heat stamped onto it and when fitted it doesn't show, kinda looks OEM.
Was a sod to fit though, Len at Subaru 4 You was going to take off the inlet manifold, but managed to wriggle it into place...but wasn't easy.

Very good quality and it's never split / vacuumed itself closed on boost etc as it's wire reinforced, but I'm only running 342bhp....I've had it about 4 years now I guess.
Not cheap, but here's a RCM link, so the usual RCM price tag lol

I got the viper performance one as they showed that even samco can fail.
it was actually very easy to fit considering everything I've read, maybe because I'm handy with my hands or the pipe was just great.

amazing that a competitor shows a fault with another manufacturer but no-one appears to have ever suffered it??
