Question GF8 V5 JDM Steering Wheel

Hi All,

The steering wheel on my WRX has suffered, quite possibly due to direct sunlight whilst in Japan and I'd like to replace it with a one in better condition if anyone has one knocking about?

Also interested in getting a OEM gearstick **** too if possible?

I picked up a V3 or V4 (1997) steering wheel from Gumtree for £5. That's all it's worth but it'll do while I get my own re-trimmed. Unfortunately, the original gear **** has been replaced with a weighted one so I'm looking to replace it one way or another.

The wheel on the car at the moment is the original, which has finger gaps at the top of the air bag cover

Who / where do you recommend for re-trimming?

I was looking to avoid eBay and all the profiteering. As a result, I've ended up picking up a very worn V3/V4 steering wheel and started thinking "can I flip this?"

Probably not if I'm honest with myself

Never used them bud, just going off old thread, i got a quote for £130 few years ago, i think now there about £170+

How much does this company charge? Don't want to pay insane amount, as i'm sure i could do this myself, my mate did his for his BMW, and it wasn't a bad job for a first go.

yeah iv seen the "iv had a go wheels" and yeah some look ok but when you grip and twist them they just move about and roll in your hands where its not been done either tight enough or hasn't been glued in place (im no trimmer so not sure why),, same with the royal ones , so I was happy to pay a bit more and have a perfect job every time

my guy charges me £175 if your having two diffrent materials and the red marker , cheaper if its less work of course

Someone said Royal charged them £170. So not much difference at all.
