Default P1 MAF Sensor

P1 I've had from new, only done 28700 miles. Failed MOT today on emissions only. MOT garage said it was definately faulty MAF. Any ideas please of the correct part for this and likely price. Cant find one listed anywhere.

Assuming car is on original engine, when these were imported by prodrive they threw octane boosters into the tank to compensate for the JDM ECU instead of mapping for the UK. It could be the octane boosters have gone off.

Years ago I read about P1 engines letting go due to the aggressive factory map and UK fuel because the octane boosters were no longer working.

yeah they had "broquets" in the tank. basically some metal pellets in a mesh, a thing over 20yrs ago. dont think broquets exist anymore, or how long they where meant to last :S
