Default Central locking issues

Hi everyone just bought a 2001 Impreza wrx and central locking isn’t working, I have found this near the ecu and was wondering if it could be related, but if not does anyone know what it is.

There seems to be 4 cut wire but really struggling to find anything about it.

have you tried opening the part up , the design is certainly not scooby related , do you have door lock switches in your drivers door , when i wired in my alarm that’s where i followed the wires from to splice into , each door has an actuator has one failed , have you a scooby fob and tried that to un lock the car , do any of the door locking switches work , is it jdm or uk 👍

Hi the box is connected straight into the ecu, but It’s a uk300, I have to go around each lock on the doors and manually lock them from each button as the key won’t lock all of them even if I put it into one of the doors to lock it.

homemade whatever it is?? certainly isn't anything to do with your central locking issue

would suggest you check what pins are connected to it??

for the central locking take off the driver door card and check the actuator rods, etc

If it's a one button key then the central locking is controlled by the sigma alarm/immobiliser and the key has probably lost its connection.
When was the key's battery last changed??
Do you know the Sigma alarm PIN??
Do you know where the alarm keypad is?

I don’t have a sigma box, but if I bought another box and reset it could it be coded into it?

What do you mean? Was it removed or changed out for a different alarm?

Don’s better at these things than me , is sounds like you may not have an alarm any more ?? is it going to be easier to just get a new alarm plummed in , you cl will be solved , your security will be much better , then you have a fob on your key to lock unlock , option 2 you can by less secure systems that will work your cl with a fob , there is a guy that can reprogram keys on here and facebook , as above i maybe wrong it sounds like you may not have your alarm any more , maybe removed due to it being faulty ?

And there will be your problem.
The one button keys have a replacement PCB in them that communicates with the sigmal alarm which in turn is connected to the Keyless entry module to activate the locks.
Set the alarm - the doors lock
Cancel the alarm - the doors unlock
Not sure when Subaru UK first got the alarm wiring incorporated into the main wiring looms but it's not referenced until the MY03 workshop manual.
If the Alarm ECU was removed and not the wiring (is the keypad still fitted?) you could fit another 2nd hand M30 alarm ecu in its place, obtain the PIN for it, and then re-pair your key to it.
If not fitting, another alarm could be your answer. Subaru apparently does an upgrade kit to the newer Sigma S series alarms.

To get your central locking working without an alarm you would need to revert to an OEM 2 button key arrangement with the OEM keyless entry PCB fitted or a two button Fob (both would need to operate at the correct UK frequency)
They can then be paired to the keyless entry unit fitted to the car.

or speak to @immotec on here about your key and alarm options.

or simply get an aftermarket alarm unit installed with its own fob and leave the key as it is.........
