Default 98ron to 99ron

Hi all, my car is mapped to the old 98ron Shell Opitmax and been using 99ron Shell Vpower ever since it changed. I've driven my car from UK to Cyprus and back and while in Germany and Turkey I used the Super Vpower 101ron etc.. car felt great! Very responsive! My question is I know it's good to run our cars with higher Ron fuel but would I need to remap my car from 98 to 99ron feul to get better figures/response etc or not worth it?
Eg. I got 345bhp on 98ron would this increase using 99ron or would I have to remap it to get higher figures??

I would say you might get a tad more, as it gives the engine more control over combustion the higher the Octane, but can't imagine that difference would make much power gain, will see what people more in the know will say.

personally not worth it , probably minimal gains if any , that’s based on the ecu not learning how to benefit on 99 already , just not worth the cost , tesco’s momentum works well plus about 25 p a litre cheaper 👍
