Being told different things buy different people and its getting rather frustrating. What do other people think about this....

New Sti8 jap spec twin scroll. Trust mid and rear exhaust sections, no other mods...yet
Does this car need re mapping to allow for a de catted section and for UK fuel ? (use optimax)

Eh? Something doesn't add up there. The JDM STi8 does not have a twin scroll turbocharger. The STi9 does.

The answer to your remap question is the same as with any other Japanese market car. These are mapped to run on Japanese forecourt, 100 octane fuel. If you're going to use them in the UK, you either need to get them remapped, or use Super Unleaded/Optimax/etc. plus an appropriate amount of octane booster. Optimax on its own is not enough to protect you from det etc.
