Default Quick question to do with tyres.

Ive just bought a run around to tidy me over until hopefully a suitable scooby turns up, i have a question about tyres.

The car is a Focus Ecoboost, i need to replace the fronts, the current tyre sizes are 215/55 R16 93V .... The tyres i want are Michellin Crossclimate + XL, they do them in my size but they only do them in 97V load, would it be ok to put these on the front with the rears being 93V load, would the handling or anything else change if i go up from 93V to 97V ? I've also read it can invalidate your insurance if you don't stick to an OEM size if you were unlucky enough to get pulled and they are thorough with their checks.

These are the tyres i want to put on

Cheers

You’ll be fine with the load rating. You can go up speed and load rating no bother because the tyre exceeds the spec needed. It’s when you go down a rating problems can occur. You’re not supposed to run CC’s with normal tyres though I thought.

Something to do with varying grip levels in different conditions compared to normal tyres. Similar to running winters on one axle and summers on the other. No idea how it is in the real world.
