CS400 Cosworth
Not been active for a while my last scoob being my p1 years ago, decided its time to scratch another itch,so can anyone shed any light on the cs400, any links to (tech spec ,engine build data), faults ,clubs or even help from other cs owners would be great, such a rarity it seems, and hard to find anything other than a few car reviews and you tube vids online.
thanks very much.

Imo cs400 is a ready made weapon which I would choose over the jdm range but both are as equally limited editions and can only appreciate in value
each to there own as they say “only you know wat you want” I still love the bugeye sti prodrive till this day and miss mine even five years later
sooo dude it’s your choice end of day is it gonna be jdm-uk???

There's a fella on our Facebook jdm page who has both, says the CS is more of a tourer and A road cruiser, but it would seem like that coming straight from a hatch spec C......they are chalk and cheese.
If it has AST suspension, it will need regular rebuilds on a CS.

I'd maybe be inclined to go with a spec c, r205 or 25th anniversary.
wouldnt say no to a cs400 either in fairness but value wise I think jdm cars are better value for money.
Bilstein/eibach on CS. They only need rebuilt if the fronts haven't been changed under warranty...new ones come with dust shields. Rears you can fit dust shields.
No dust shields = blown seals. Bilstein will rebuild them for £100 a corner.
Eibach springs used on the coilovers are off the shelf items

From my research, if your not planing to do any major upgrades, and only plan on changing things that can be put back to standard then yeh go for an R205 or a CS400. If you want to go down the modding route then get a Spec C as it seems to be the best base car for that route, you'll devalue an R205 or a CS400 by quite a bit if you start changing things which arent straight forward to put back to standard. The R205 fetches strong money in Japan.
