Snow has settled! 07 Hawk STI. Which is the best setting for snow? I switched it to lock and felt it gripped better. Also, general driving, what do you guys have it in? I keep mine in auto always...

Full lock for snow but found myself switching to auto depending on the road conditions. Everyday driving was auto or rear biased lol.

This was years ago. No longer own a hawk.

I usually have it in manual fully back and it a bit tweak it forward in sketchy conditions.

Fully locked is ok to get going but will give you understeer. And if you really need fully locked to even get going the grip will be so low it‘s probably better to go back inside and not end up in a ditch, just had a good reminder of that recently!

I‘d say auto is safest, you don‘t get the understeer but it will lock when it thinks you need it and can really help pull you to where you wanna be.

If you have an open space to try out the settings you‘ll get a good feel for it. Just don‘t get caught out, the awd can really hide how slippery it really is.
