Mud flap removal...
I thought removing mud flaps would be a 20 min job 😫
Managed to remove the rear two brackets but as I’ve gone to unscrew the fronts the retainer screws are just spinning freely so clearly whatever it’s screwed into has broken which I can’t get to. Same with the other side.
Has anyone got any tips on how to get them off?
thanks in advance.

I renewed my scoobyworld ones recently, had to dremel the free spinning screw heads off and retrieve the screw through the back of the hole. I bought new ones so I had all the new hardware to put everything together again.

If it is how I'm imagining it in my head then you will need to get leverage on the screw. Put a knife or flat head where the screw mounts to the surface and when you're unscrewing push the screw. It should come out enough for you to grab it.
