Brembo black sti bargain?
I was in 2minds about these fancied getting them over to Godspeed for a refresh and that avid green but then realised I need the rears at another £200 odd quid so left them
what you reckon people are/were they cheap if I had a spare rear set would have Defo bought them

They look like they are from the Hatch onwards. Thought they didn't bolt on to the newage cars.

Brakes from all 5x114.3 hubbed cars will interchange. The Calipers from 5x114.3 and 5x100 will interchange, the disks will need to be different obviously. But you can get 326mm 5x100 Disks enabling you to run STI brake setup on a WRX.

Yeah I knew about the disk and being able to interchange them. What I didn't know was that it was possible to do it with cars newer than the newage, I vaguely remember someone saying the brackets are different so can't be fitted to a newage. But then I could just be making it up, old age mixed with confusion lol

i dont know pal we need Godspeed on it or DON they’ll confirm I would have Defo asked them if I went through with the sale
i would have need to get mine fully refurbished before the hi-viz green colour added from Godspeed which are my future plans
just need to find a good bargain front and rears
I’m very patient and I’m sure I’ll come across a set that needs a refurb if I keep praying to the scuby gods 🙏

Guys ignore me lol I am getting confused. Went and did a google search, and people are putting Brembos directly on to the hatch. The rears I don't know about

No the rears don't fit on easy , never mind straight on , the Black front calipers do as they are the same as the gold calipers , just a different colour , the rear 2008 onwards brembo's are a totally different shape and bolt spacing to the gold rear brembo's up to 2007 , you will not fit the 2008 onwards rear calipers on easily , we have done it in the past as the bolt spacings are the same as a classic rear caliper , you need to machine the mounting lugs thinner so they line up with the backplate , then the rear caliper will bolt straight onto a classic , but you can only fit the WRX 290mm rear disc , and as the Brembo 2 pot pad is too wide to fit the smaller pad area on the WRX disc , you need to machine the pads as well.
I done this a couple of times , and TBH it's a lot of work , and not as good as the earlier gold brembo rears which can fit with the correct 316mm discs
What we have done if customers want the later black brembo's , get some earlier gold brembos , and strip and powdercoat them black and apply the STi logo found on the later cars
We never did fit the later black brembo's onto a 2001 onwards WRX , it won't work

Just to add , the front 2008 onwards Black brembos and 326mm discs with a 5 x 114.3mm PCD , will fit straight onto an earlier car if you redrill the bells with a 2nd set of holes , any engineering company should be able to do this very simply for you , we do it for £25 , so if you buy a front complete set , with good discs , you can still use them.

I wrote that as you did say they all interchange , and others mentioned the rears , so just to save any confusion , yes as you say the black calipers will fit on , and they are exactly the same as the gold front calipers , just a different colour , the rear calipers are totally different though , thought i'd make that clear as back in the day loads of brand new calipers came on the market from rally cars being stripped , loads went mad for them to find the rears wouldn't fit , save anyone else doing the same
Cheers Ian

i tried to fit hatch brembos to my classic recently,as you say it does not work. The calipers bolted straight on but couldn’t get a disc to fit it so gave up and sold them to a guy in America 😂
