40k in 2000 is almost 70k today with inflation. You think anyone would pay £70k for a new Subaru today?

The list price at the time iirc was just shy of £40k so a lot of money then !! So a £48k price tag for the probably one of the last new ones was to be expected.

Don’t think someone would pay 70k for a Subaru now but as they aren’t being sold on the back of rally success these days 😳

It’s not new to the market - been for sale for a few months now.

I was going to say it’ll be for sale for a while at £300k, but all it takes is someone who is minted from the PlayStation generation. These things have global demand, so worth the company pitching high and seeing how things go.

I was watching a Youtube video the other day, guy who owners a ford garage was talking about his mate who was thinning his collection down of cars he's collected. He had 3 Sieria Cosworths all under 10k miles. And he wanted 130k for one.

Anyone paying that is just a speculator. You could buy a leggy one and do a complete nut and bolt restoration and effectively have a 0 miles car for a lot less.
