welcome

I have a set of tein flex z coilovers on my 2007 sti, been on there for 2.5 years problem free, ride quality is good not too harsh. Chevron motorsport fitted and set them up for me along with front and rear whiteline arb's and bump steer correction kit/castor bushes. Car handles brilliantly.

Tein are one of the budget brands but in my opinion are much much better than bc's or hsd's

I have just gone from BC coilovers back to springs & shocks...unless you are on track regular,or have very smooth roads where you live, stick to shocks and springs....ride quality is night & day!,..car is much more rewarding & enjoyable to drive,
Blob widetrack btw

iv just brought a set of the tein flex z coilovers ,,, iv also brought the edfc active to go with it so I can adjust from soft to hard without moving from the drivers seats lol ,, bad back after all lol ,, it will also adjust when I set it to a certain speed for when on motorways

with a upgrade to the edfc pro it will then adjust when cornering but I dont think I need that part lol

That’s why the Tein basics work well , the rebound is set already which is spot on , better handling and not a harsh ride plus the benefit of ride height adjustment , they are around 500£ delivered , there are a few places in hemel i go to , they are quite easy to fit yourself

Anyone running Bilstein B14 or B16 coilovers?

Looking at a set of B14 for my 2002 STI.

Remember you don't get topmounts with the Tein basics range, i stuck whiteline front top mounts on mine + proper alignment is around £200 ish, all in i was around £1000, but well worth it and better than BC's that rust after a year.

I’ve been running B14’s for a number of years now, I came from teins before and am very impressed with them 👍

A very under rated set up , i did 40k on mine before i took them off and were still going strong and they are exactly how you describe..

I managed to get a full kit second hand for £300 ,, I needed to buy a couple of bit from tein uk to compete it as it ended up missing a couple of bits but it was only £25 so not the end of the world

the new EU spec Tein kits are very good as in fairness is the Bilstein, Eibach, KW, etc but like all things you need to get something that suite your budget and use.........

Not sure why people buy and Impreza and lower on coilovers. Just bought another Impreza had coilovers fitted. Handled like on rails, but wow the rid was hard.

Took them off now. Handles well and now have plenty ground clearance. And so much softer.

that’s exactly the point handle on rails v handles ok ,horses for courses , you don’t have to lower a lot or just keep the same height and it still handles very well on coilovers

Yea I guess I could of increased the height. But never had a set of coilovers that were comfortable. It's not a track car. My JDM wrx handled just aswell without coilovers. And was still comfortable.
