Default Engine hot and burning smell

Hi I have a wrx 03 Uk ...when I put my heater fan On I smell a burning smell coming through ?
engine seems very hot but ok on temperature gauge ...no obvious leaks and drives perfect

coolant all ok n full hardly uses any?

any ideas please

im not sure but i think Joe meant heater fan motor, thats what i was going to suggest , could be bushes on that ,

could be the blower resistor that mounts in the blower housing.

Yes could be heater fan related when I don’t have the heater speed on I can’t smell it (smell doesn’t blow through on its own )

air con not working that good too at min?
