Default VF48 Turbo advice - does this one look ok?

Any advice would help i'm looking at buying this but have noticed the exhaust end and compressor look to have oil on them. Is this a concern? Should i walk away?

If you have doubts mate just walk away, the turbo just looks like a used turbo to me but no one would really be able to tell you just by looking at a picture! If the turbo was in my hands I could test for play on the compressor wheel waste gate seating/slackness and yes if oil was passing the bearings. My advice get one from a reputable seller were you know you will be getting something that will work trouble free in the first place.SJ.

Thanks, i was planning on picking it up to check it out but I'm not sure if its worth the journey. I've asked if it comes with any kind of guarantee, I'm waiting to hear back. Ideally i want a new one but the cheapest I've seen is from a company who haven't bothered replying to my message and I've since read posts on this forum to stay away from them

I've now searched this company on here too, more bad stories. I think I'm going to walk away.
