First Impreza

First Impreza
Hi all,
I've been a forum member for a long time, but never actually owned an Impreza (I've owned a fair few vehicles in my time).
However, I was very fortuante to win this car in an online raffle type competition last November.
She's a little rough round the edges, but quite clean underneath.
It's had some choice mods over the years, which I will be looking to address.
After a couple of months and getting the exterior tidied up by my friends over at APM customs, I took it to my tuner (AC Speedtech) to give it the once over and give me a condition report.
A few minor nigges were addressed, geo set up, new fuel pump fitted and a quick map check to make sure fuelling and timing are safe.
I already had the car in the Chester Rally Revival event, which was a 'tour' of the rally stages used in the 90's and was lucky to take in some of the ''special stages' which were closed and we were able to stretch the cars legs somewhat ;-)
A cracking memory and felt honoured to be in such company of legends like Nicky Grist and Jimmy McRae.
One of the next tasks I'm looking to sort out is replacing the digital gauges that have come with the car (picture not from car)
They just aren't for me, so I've got hold of some Defi gauges with a 60mm pod and hope to get them changed over in the near future.
Up-coming plans are to sort out the chassis (handling) and braking, so I will be on the look out for some brembo's and chassis mods (scouring the marketplace).
Swap the 18" revolution alloys over to some 17" (I prefer handling over aesthetics).
Cheers,
Andy

That's a nice win, wouldn't mind the few niggly bits considering it only cost you a few quid. I'm doing these online raffle things with a long time and have had no luck lol
Wouldn't be a fan of digital gauges myself either, Defi will be a nice upgrade 👌
Well done 👍
