Default Something to do

Hi all, well because we are all stuck indoors i thought i would do a little job on the car, the intercooler was looking grubby so thought i would give the outside a bit of a clean,

and after

I know it doesnt look that differant on the pics but got a lot of the grime off and a new sticker

I done this with a new age one I bought for my classic. You should get a small flat head screwdriver and straighten all the fins. Now that’s a satisfying job.

Caught the bug as well.(or should i say hawk).
These looked brand new when car was imported, amazing what two years of UK winters can do.....!
work in progress as it started to hailstone

Nah I used tweezers on mine. As the top layer is so fine can easy break off. Mine looks really clean now.

Do they stick - I would have thought they would lift at the edges after a while ?

Only been a month so far but no issues, far cleaner look than I could have got painting them but they may lift over time, time will tell I guess.

Brake /carb cleaner.....clean the dirt off
Jenolite............its a rust remover ......but i find it works as it bites into alloy removing corrosion (watch your eyes)
Acetone...clean & wipe down (eyes again)
Wet/dry p180 ....p400
Etch primer
Top coat....silver grey
lots of Elbow grease
To be honest they where not to bad, (corrosion was mainly on the inner rims)

Hiya, yer have fitted a couple of stiffys to my rear spoiler and cleaned the battery clamp up and sprayed it, just to tidy things up, iv put posts up on "what mods have you done this week" in the members gallery section
