Default Thwaites & Scooby Clinic

Hi everybody I have had good communication with both Kev at Scoobyclinic and Mark at Thwaites Racing Developments.

This is the recommendation for each:

Scoobyclinic;
SC36 billet turbo
Perrin inlet pipe
Perrin cold air induction kit
Haywood and scott sports cat.
Uprated Fuel Pump
Uprated Plugs
Perrin oil air seperator
3 Port EBCS33
Mapping

Thwaites,:
RCM Exhausts Manifold & Uppipe
Manifold
Fitting kit Inc Gaskets
RCM
Induction kit
SamcoIntake Hose
RCM
Track Attack Catch Can kit
RCM
340LPH Fuel Pump
SC38Turbo
CobraSport Sports Catted Down Pipe
Mapping

Both around the same price.

What your guys thoughts on the above two options and the choice of Scoobyclinic and Thwaites.

Thanks👍

Both using Renowned quality Parts
Both have good reputations
Not much difference in Price

probably pick the one with least millage from home or the one i have used before.

Personally,I would pick Twaites as used many times before and do like RCM stuff. but Also like Perrin !!!!!!!

TOSS a coin

Tony

At that power level the manifold change is pointless, in some cases it can remove performance.

Other thing is i would expect it to have a plug change and a 3 port as in clinics list so not sure why they arn't on thwaits.

If it’s any help.

I’ve had a few bits done at scoobyclinic over christmas 19.

Re-map / fixing clutch issues/ MOT.

Great guys. Super helpfull.

I’ve had some **** experiences with car garages in the past.. I’m hesitant to use garages and try do most of my own work.
But I deffo recommend these guys for sure.

Parts are of equal quality, I'd base it on who is the mapper. All the parts are only as good as they are mapped. 2 cents right there.

stay with turbo if You need, lph340 fuel pump, plugs, prodrive sportscat -harvey uppipe combo and map
i will go with road map - fbtuning
You can put saved money for bigger brakes, how about suspension mods for track attack

Mark, the owner of TDR does the mapping AFAIK.
That's where I have taken my Subarus since I moved to Midlands and have always been more than pleased.

Yeah, he was very helpful and upfront when I went there to have a boost issue looked at. He sussed it all but straight away and didn't 'pad' the job out -- just did what needed to be done.

I really like the guy.

I'm having some work and mapping done at TDR in a couple of weeks so I'll post my feedback if it is of interest.

I'm hoping not to need an engine nor gearbox rebuild!

Ha, when I was there, someone came in to enquire about a 'box repair. After, I was having a conversation with the receptionist chap, and came out with, "...yeah, thankfully, my original 5-sp is still going strong after 20 years..."

[ Cut to later on that afternoon, back in Leic ]

I'm at the side of the road, broken down with a totally kaput 'box.
