Now you’ve mention that Ive just had a look and each corner of the windscreen looks like it’s peeling. Maybe that’s the cause? could be as simple as getting some sealant on there and hoping that sorts it. Fingers crossed.

I didn’t think to check the seal before as it’s a brand new screen! The garage I got the car from fitted a new one before collection for me because of a crack.

yeah and watch them do it as any scrapes around the aperture can lead to bad rust problems later on , unless its the heater matrix that's gone south . how are your water levels ?

levels are fine thankfully. So I’m sure it’s rain water. Been on a few Subaru forums and it seems a common problem with Subaru’s after replaced windscreen it seems. So hopefully it’s an issue I should be able to get fixed relatively easily. Fingers crossed

I thought that the seal should be replaced at the same time as the screen to do a proper job?

any updates on this post ? problem found ? i’ve had issue with the subaru rubber door seals before , inserted a bit of pipe to fill out the seal , a little tip i saw on wheeler dealers on an aston martin , so even expensive cars can suffer , my rubber on the screen is a bit deteriorated on the outer edge i think it’s too much sun exposure , i assume outer edge does not effect the actual seal ?

Because I spent 6 months on this same issue I'm leaving this for others to find. My leak was passenger footwell, going all the way to the back. Pulling away some trim near the door seam there is a metal seam that goes up towards the a pillar. This is where water was coming out. By pouring water over the roof of the car you could watch it leak from here. Windscreen seal wasn't great but wasn't the problem. Under the roof rack mounting and running the length of the car on the roof is a seam which is filled with seam sealant from factory. Rigorously cleaning and resealing this with good quality silicone sealant fixed the leak.
