Default Will I need an upgraded map sensor

Hi all,

so I’m getting through a pretty much standard build on a v1 sti with the only mods of 440cc injectors, v3sti heads, downpipe back exhaust and panel filter.

my question is I want to squeeze as much as I can from what I have as it’s a hobby car and not a daily, what boost could it possibly run and would I need a 3 bar map sensor?

am also looking at esl board to run this.

i know there will be certain restrictions I.e tmic, turbo and box but just need to know what sort of results I can push out of what I have and if I can up the boost

Max boost on your map sensor is around 1.25bar on my92-my96
the later my97/98 is around 1.7bar
You can fit the later map sensor.

Yes V5 will be fine. You'll need to move the pins around to suit though remember.
