Default Advice and guidance

Hi all,

right the build is underway as you can see from the projects threads but I have a few questions for you all.

spec is as follows

version 1 wrx sti wagon 85/200 that month with ej207 spec c block, ported and polished v1 sti heads, 740cc injectors ( overkill I know) standard top mount sti, standard headers, standard intake bar air filter, standard td05 turbo, pro drive turbo back exhaust. Apexi power fc and lightweight flywheel.

what I need to know is

what sort of power should or would this spec be producing?

I am trying to keep the car as standard as possible with subtle touches

is there anything I have missed?

if I keep the standard ecu in the car can I run the engine in on that map and then get the power fc mapped or would I need to map the power fc with these small mods for wearing in ?

should this be nearly mint once finished inside and out what sort of value would you place it at? Not that I’m thinking of selling it

I would say, depending on mapping, 280-290bhp.

Would recommend porting and flow matching exhaust manifold/heads, found this to be a worth while mod for better throttle and boost response.

Personally i'd sell the injectors and get a set of 440cc's, which will easily do 300bhp and you should make a little £

Apexi PFC is fine, but you may limit yourself on available mappers.

Final value? Impossible to say without knowledge of mileage, history, previous damage, final condition etc.

300 Bhp is achievable but not a whole lot more with slanty cooler.

to be honest I’d be over the moon with 300 as they started on 250 and it would be as near to original as possible
