Default Automatic on dyno getting mapped..? Transmission loss??

Hey lads

i can’t explain this but I am sure there is transmission loss on a dyno been automatic as my figures read different to what it would be as it’s 236 whp but been told it was 260 due to trans losses so the dyno doesn’t pick it up??

an awd on a dyno looses between 17 to 25 per cent , on top of that an auto looses an extra 2 to 5 per cent , an example my ute is about 400 at the wheels , it back calculates to about 500 bhp at the fly wheel , i was not sure if your 236 ? or 260 was fly or wheel bhp , it’s not an exact science just a rough calculation plus most dynos are different , hope that helps
