Need a name and number if poss - I had the clutch changed on my Dutch MY00 2 months ago and the old parts are STILL at the dealer awaiting authorisation from IM to have them sent up to them for inspection / forwarding to Holland. Dealer hasn't been particularly enthusiastic about returning my calls...

I've been patient up until now, but it's getting ridiculous - some botty needs to be booted.

Cheers

Nick

Cool

Just phone IM on 0121 522 2000 and complain that you are getting nowhere with your warranty claim. They will speed things up for you. They were very helpful with me, although the outcome is sitll to be decided.

The method for warranty claims for your Dutch supplied car is that the offending parts are removed and fowarded to IM who will freight them to Holland. The Dutch importer will then agree or refuse the claim and advise IM. IM will then advise the dealer. It is not uncommon for claims to be rejected leaving the owner to foot the bill and try arguing with his supplying Dutch dealer.Do bear in mind that IM are not even able to make a freighting or administrative charge for this service and cannot agree to claims on behalf of the Benelux importers,or they would end up paying themselves on cars they did not sell in the first place-not good commercial sense ! The reason it happens this way is that the cars are bought from Fuji HI by the UK ,Dutch and Belgian importers without warranty ,at a reduced price, and any warranty work expensed incurred is bourne by them. My only suggestion is that you check the parts have gone to Holland and it so,pester the Dutch dealer/importer senseless-they even speak better English than us!!

KAYPEE - that's just it, the parts haven't even left my dealer yet! IM have taken 2 months to organise pick up of the parts, so god knows how long it will take to actually get them across the North Sea...

Pete - I'll be trying for a couple of syllables from them tomorrow...

Hollywood,

Try asking for a guy called John Sherwood - he's the Customer Services Manager.

He's currently looking into why IM refused to replace the juddering clutch on my MY98.

Postal address is:

IM Ltd.
Ryder Street
West Bromwich
West Midlands
B70 0EJ

HTH,
Steve
