Default Rear brembos

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between newage and hatch rear brembo calipers?
I'm know the pcd is different on the discs.

Totally different designs , you cannot fit the Black ones to an earlier car , the Gold ones will fit straight onto your car , just need to fit thicker handbrake shoes , or the instert discs we do

The rear Gold calipers will not fit on a hatch , if you have seen them , they are probably the black ones repainted

Spec C hatches were built with gold calipers. It's the only way externally to distinguish them from standard hatches. They can only have been repainted at the factory.

Yes you are correct , they are Gold from the factory , they are the same as the black ones , not the same as the earlier gold Brembo's , so even these will not fit an earlier model.

You can see the obvious difference in the 2 types if anyone is looking to buy them and don't know what they are , the caliper body in front of the piston , is rounded on the early calipers , and more hexigon on the later calipers ,

And they have STi logo's on the later ones , and Brembo on the early ones.

Hopefully help someone not buying the wrong ones , I've seen quite a few sellers trying to sell the later ones to early owners , and not take them back when the buyer realises they don't fit

Cheers Ian

We can supply you hatch discs and redrill them so they have both PCD's , or if you send us a used pair , we can drill those for you
What are you fitting them on ?
Cheers Ian
