Default Are Sti Brembos and Evo 8 Brembos the same

Hi All

I am keen to know if the pads that fit STi Brembos will fit Evo 8 Brembos ?

I have found a few web sites that lump these two together ?

And what are the differences between the gold brembos and the red ones ?

Cheers

EBC list the STI & Evo 6 onwards (http://www.ebcbrakes.com/Assets/2005ebcintcat.pdf) as having the same part number, so I'd guess they are one & the same. No idea on caliper specs but I'd have thought the mounting would deffo be different.

thanks, I did, it just took longer to download than my ability to type up another message (we down here in Southern Africa dont quite have the same web speeds as you lot)

it looks like there are a lot of cars out there that use the same calipers !

S60 Volvo fronts are the same

the rears are the same as the skylines !! (and stis and evos)

Nice catalogue been looking for something like that for a while !!

Cheers and thanks Dunk

No the calipers are different , different spacings for the lugs , the pads are the same , I think you will find that Brembo do 2 pad sizes for the bulk of there calipers , the smaller type of pad going on cars like the Seat's , Focus RS , Peugeot 406 coupe ect , and the bigger ones going on Evo's , STi8's ect , but all the calipers are slightly different from each other

Evo 6,7,8 and STi Brembo calipers all share same pad, front and rear.
