It's the standard Subaru oil filter for all EJ engines

they do look smaller than some aftermarket filters. But the black Subaru OE one, is the one that most people use as their "go to". Always used the gen Subaru filters on all of my cars and never had any issues in that regard.

looking at it on here - that unipart filter is a generic one for multiple cars/models but size wise is based upon the old style larger subaru oil filters from a good few years back.

being only new to subaru's you are in your right to be concerned/question it - rather than receive someone of the snide comments above.

just purchase one from Opieoils and you'll be sure to get the correct one, and dont be comparing to what you have removed.

The second link I posted is to a Mahle filter that is a direct cross reference to the Unipart filter in the original post.

I would love to say that to some of the lazy people I deal with on a daily basis, but sadly I'd just land myself on a load of ****

some people have no respect, I've had it like a week, the 2 I have bought are way to small because it's coming up as a 98 when it was imported but it's actually a 95 hence why I was asking for help because ever one I've tried has been wrong, ps
I was asking for advice not a keyboard warrior 👍...

thanks mate i will order a Subaru one up and see if that fits surely it will, everyone I've looked at so far is too small width wise.

I would be more concerned with when the oil/filter was last changed, looking at that Unipart one.
