Default Bit random but Face-lift Foz STi seat position

Was hoping for some advice for those that have changed seats in their impreza or forester sti and have put it in here to get as much feedback opposed to the interior section mods if need feel free to move it.

I've recently bought a face-lift forester sti and after a few days of driving the car I'm struggling with the seating position.

I'll try to explain, I'm finding the base of the seat to high and my legs are to close to the steering wheel especially if I slide the seat to a level where my arms are comfortable. If it is slid forward i find my hands are knocking into my thighs more so as there's not enough space or I have to drive with my left leg at a odd angle. I've messed about with the tilt on the base, angle of the back support and how far the seat is slid back and forth etc.

I was thinking that as I've never had this issue in an impreza that the seat base itself or seat frame are thicker/higher or both.

One, does or has anyone found the same? Two, does anyone know of they are different between the two models?

Leading on to if they are different will the impreza frame/rails fit the foz?

Or could I get say a Bride sear rail from an impreza GD range and would that would fit?

Any help and pointers would be great

Has your steering wheel not got height adjustment? Sounds like it is in the lowest position.

The drivers seat is height adjustable, is it lowered to the lowest position using the twiddly **** thing on the side? I'm 6ft and had mine set at the lowest position and it was perfect.
