GOODBYE STI 5
#1
HI ALL,
Due to rising insurance, fuel bills and vandalism, ive sold my STI 5 TYPE R today. Its broken my heart but ive had to do it you cant just keep shelling out forever.
Ive owned scoobs for 2 years now and they have been the best two driving years of my life, and socially, track days, meets, scoobynet etc.. i dont think any other car clubs come near for sheer turn out and entusiasm, just look at NM5 for instance.
Anyway its change of vehicle for a while but dont worry ill be back.......

SK,
I guess things did eventually grind you down then.
Sorry to hear it.
Life has to move on for all of us, but you've 'been there, done that, got the T shirt',and it would appear up to recently its been enjoyable.
So at least you will have some happy memories.
Glad you enjoyed NM5, perhaps if? and when? NM6 takes place, you may wel be able to attend in something different.
Not so much goodbye, as au revoir.
Cheers MTR

I know how you feel, just sold my WRX STI IV last week and was driving a hire mondeo for two days.
I feel like my hearts been ripped out, it's S H I T isn't it ?
I've had to do it to cut costs as we're moving, so I'm going down to a oil burning ford, so you think you got it bad ? I can't even buy another performance car.

SK,
Sorry to hear you've had to get rid of the STi - can't say I blame you with the mindless vandalism, insurance costs, etc.
Do they do Superchips for the 306D Turbo?!
Cheers,
Ian.
