Default Impreza gc8 diagnostics with a remap

Hi guys

I am convinced my radiator fans are not working. Now I just need to prove it.
If I connect the diagnostics cables together under dash (impreza gx8) would this potentially screw anything up- including my remap which sits in my esl board?

Thanks all - just want to get to the bottom of whether or not my fans are working

Connect the fans direct to the battery. If they work it may well be the thermostat or sender.
But to answer the question the ESL and map will be fine.

Thank you.

Is there an an easy way to hook fans up to battery?

Or is it it easier to put the two diagnostic plugs together?

Just don’t want to screw up the map on the esl mother board

thanks

Thumbs up

Use the test connectors and the fans should cycle along with bcs etc
