Default Potiential purchase

Potentially buying this tomorrow - it’s a bit of a confusing one, but does it look reasonable, first scooby and bit nervous.

thanks

Looks like a nice car mate, and the S202 has a great reputation. Let's hope it's as good in the metal...

It's not an S202. It's an STi Limited
Very big difference, but the advert would lead you to think otherwise

Very missleading advert indeed, as said trying to make you think it's an s202 in all but name.

given its not as s202 seems pricey to me.

I cant click on the link on my work computer, but I suspect its the black bugeye on ebay that has S202 riddled all over the advert?

Over £9k if I recall, that's a lot of money for Bugeye STI, don't be fooled by the "S202" here and "S202" there jargon. It's not an S202, its a uk STI.

I recall an S202 being for sale on here some time ago for around £10-11k.

Hurst's have an S202 in but I think he's asking about £16k iirc

£7-8.5k don’t want a blue one, like bugeye & blobeye unsure of Hawkeye. JDM as well

A Pretty low budget for that sort of spec, will be on the ropier end of them. I would suggest seeing if you can up the budget, or lower the spec a bit.

The advert is very misleading, but it's a rare JDM car. The Limited had more torque than the regular STIs & featured the higher spoiler & front splitter.
If you can get the price down & you like it then get it bought, it will be a long time before another one of those turns up

A nice widetrack blobeye is what I would go for out of those three, and wouldn't get too hooked on JDM or UK if new to Subaru, take each car on its own merits. As Tidgy said you may need to try and stretch that budget a little, 10k gets a lot of a nice car.

Without causing a **** storm here, the Hawkeye UK is 2.5 so you need bare that in mind - do your research.

Your in safe hands on this forum, most speak of experience and knowledge, but like where we all live, there is always one village idiot who will contradict or offer poor advise, but the genuine enthusiasts will help guide you - ps to edit, everything above is good solid advice and good points raised - don't wish to offend anyone

LOL @ 53

This seems a good buy, high mileage but a lot of car for the money https://www.scoobynet.com/subaru-444...uk-2006-a.html

Thanks. I just liked the look of that one - not after a S202. That’s why Hawkeye I’m undecided. I know I want an STI, jdm I thought had better engines
