Why do you need a wiring loom would have a couple of mafs here only removed due to going mafless.

the loom was cut at the plug by previous owner so I've joined it but keeps Cummings off so need a new loom but because of the hassle I've had with orange maf and the loom I'm wanting to put on a purole or green but been told I can't it was mapped to 335bhp but putting it back to 286bhp

The orange mafs are generally very robust the only thing that happens to them is dry joints on the circuit board under the top cover which you have to carefully cut and prise off and re solder. I have one which I did this too and its perfect does your car stall the odd time. No you can't swap them well you can but a lot off hassle and mapping which will in turn mean an esl board.

no mate just stops driving like will struggle to go and just thick black smoke out the back then when I put the wires back in its fine again for about 20 min's or until I hammer it for a bit them it cones loose again it's really annoying I'm in middle of paying 2k to have the hole enine out new seals gasket's powder coating the manifold generally just getting it all sorted out and refreshed and put back to stock but that maf is really disheartin I have a loom and a purple maf ready to go on but don't no if it will work

Sounds very like the symptoms as said. I think I might have a plug but don't know how long the pigtails would be. As said before there very robust apart from that.
