Try on www.type-ra.com or impartsb46 on eBay (they had head units a few weeks ago, an e-mail should do.

pretty sure it will be a clarion
part no. 86201aa370 or
86201aa390
Looks as if there were a few options.
86201fa130
86201fa090
86201fa310
Try typing subaru clarion in ebay.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IM...4AAOSwgY9Xf1mL

or panasonic

Only thing to watch out for is you won't get as many radio stations as you would with an aftermarket head unit. My old JDM DC2 had the original head unit and the frequency didn't go higher than 89.9 due to Japanese radio being broadcast a lower frequency.

My v3 jdm had an Addzest stereo fitted from the factory which I believe is a rebranded Clarion unit. If you want I will dig it out & take a picture for you sometime over the weekend.

AFAIK the JDM classics didn''t come with a specific headunit as it was deemed an accessory.
You had a variety to choose from (as per the P1 when purchased new here)

Don, to the best of your knowledge, should this fit a jdm gc8 (double din)?

Should be plug and play although you may need an aerial adaptor ???

Thanks mate. That is great. I will be interested to see if this double din fits lol
Looks like most options were a single din and blanking plate.
I will let people know if this stereo fits as a reference for similar questions in future
