Default Subaru WRX 2003 wagon HELP PLEASE 👍🏻

Looking for help please. My car has an intermittent shudder. It’s through the steering wheel, and when it starts it is sat at 50-60 mph. Also I have this burning smell of metal. After I stop for a short while, and take it easy back to my house the shuddering and smell disappears. Replaced the two front tyres as the car needed tracking and balancing done. What’s your thoughts?

You need to get it up in the air and have a look at all the front suspension/steering components. Clearly something is amiss and rubbing where it shouldn't. Pointless us guessing though.

Seized 4 pots are quite common on the wrx as the pistons rust. If it's a 2003 model and they've not been replaced then it'd be the first place I'd check.
See how hot they are after a drive.
Other that that it could be a huge number of components.
But a good 4 wheel alignment from someone with a hunter machine might help.
