Default AF modded hawkeye wagon

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif...ize=2.4&page=1

Keen to get back to a hawkeye wagon so does anyone any info on this? Looks the dogs danglies and at a mere 400bhp should go faster than Garfield after a pizza.
But modded cars, especially ones done by someone else, must be done right.
It would make a nice daily though.
Cheers

Do you know who and why?

The car seems to have blown its HG back in May so i suspect it's still running the factory studs and not 14mm ones?

I also like the car but the number of owners puts me off, if it's as good as the description says why has it changed so many hands?

it has ARP headstuds which are sufficient but wouldn't run a lot more power on an unsupported semi-closed block and definitely not 500hp. The health check in May could be a deal breaker, unless there was absolutely certainty about the work carried out.

Agreed.

From the advert:

Recent engine health check carried in May 17. Work carried out included heads resurfaced, new Roger Clark head gaskets and water pump, gearbox linkage replaced, new 2 piece brake discs, new header tank and cam sensors and new titan wheel nuts (£3k spent this year).

which I interpret the engine must have either overheated (careless owner since it has gauges?) or due to the amount of boost lifted the heads?

Does anyone know if the AFP 420 Hybrid billet turbo is laggy in a 2.5?

Engine built by RA motorsport would make me run the other way there's a few Scottish Scoobies members that had builds done where they never put in what they billed them for and another few that were worse engine's once they were finished with it that they originally had and I think they were trying to blame the company that were machining the blocks.

@scotty_boy_80, thanks for the feedback.

What makes me wonder is how long a similar car had taken to sell:

I'd expect people would have snapped that up!
