Default Immobilizer problem

Recently bought a WRX , (not the one I posted about previously haha).

Car is brilliant overall but the only snag I have with it is, is the immobilizer. Sometimes the car will start no problem, key in, turn, done. Other times though, you can put key in and nothing, you have to press the key fob as you're turning the key, will set the alarm off but the car will start. Happened 2/3 times so far, also drove to a mates earlier today, turned ignition off for about 5 minutes, and same problem again, had to press fob to get the car to start.

Any solutions? Was looking at getting the immobilizer removed unless there's an easier solution. There's a code that came with the immobilizer and punched that into keypad but no luck, but not sure if the code has been changed down the line.

Cheers for any help.

If you unlock the car with the key fob and do not start the engine within so many seconds (30? - check manual below) it re arms itself. You then need to press the key fob again and then start the car.

Mine is similar,... as soon as l open, ..unlock the car, ..l have approx 15 sec, to start the car, or l have to press the button on the key as l turn ignition..... ie the car/alarm,.....has to recognise the key, before it starts. l believe this is a feature of the immobiser/alarm.
