it think the new evo 7 is a vast improvement looks wise, btu ive only seen pics and a short clip on top gear. the only real bad thing ive read is that it has a daft small fuel tank. but, imho, its much better looking than a my01.

ajw, had the privelage of driving one of these a few weeks back(thanks to Ian at Litchfield Imports!!).I have driven and owned a number of fast cars(STi's,Skylines etc) the EVO7 is the a clear winner by a large margin.(I have not driven a STi7 though)

It doesn't look as impactful in the flesh as the VI.
Also in Car magazine this month they test an VII against an M3 - the MD of Ralliart said that people were test driving the VII and that was stimulating more orders for a VI!!!!
He said that they were the hard core type enthusiast - and here was me thinking you would get an Evo to take the kids to Sunday Skool

ajw,
There is a thread on here somewhere about the EVO 7 (but I can't find it).
I've done a few miles ( ) in the EVO 7 and I think it is the best car I have ever driven. For comparison, I thought it was better than the EVO 5 and 6, 22B, STi3, 4, 5 etc. I haven't driven the STi 7 yet, but I don't think the EVO 7 really has anything to worry about.
OK, the looks may not be as in your face as the EVO 6 but it still has real road presence. It may look more 'grown up' but it is still a nutter underneath.
Overall, damn sight more competent than the driver at the time
Cheers
