Newage impreza recirc valve to vent?
Hi all, I was wondering if I could remove the recirc pipe from the standard dump value and block the pipe. The dump value would then vent to outside and give some sort of woooosh???

But why?
When you let of the gas the dump value recirculates the air back to the intake. Removing and blocking the recirc pipe would then mean then air released pressure would just vent to the outside in stead of the pipe.

The issue is as you are running a Mass Air Flow meter (MAF) it calculates the amount of air drawn into the engine and calculates the fuel accordingly. With a recirculating system the same amount of air is still there so the fuelling is right. When you VTA the fuelling is rich thus giving the poor running. I have a dual port on my Bug but that uses the Manifold Air Pressure sensor (MAP) to sort the fuelling so VTA is not an issue.
