Default Newage boot alignment

Hi guys is there a way I can adjust the boot installed a new bootlid and removed the two springs as well

picture shows the gap

Haven't fitted a boot before but if you loosen the bolts then pull /push the boot into position then tighten?
might take a few goes as will have to loosen and pull about while it's up.

It just looks like a badly sized carbon copy - no pun intended.

I was thinking that, looks like its not wide enough to cover the gaps properly
