Hi can anyone recommend some decent jacks and where do you jack a newage sti up thanks

I think purchased my low entry trolley jack from SGS Engineering.

I usually lift the cars via the sills but you can lift the rear via the diff.

If the car is a bit low to get under the sill jackpoint you can also use the front towing eye.
I'd also recommend these to protect the sills:

My Bug Wagon is lowered on PCA springs and the Arcan jack will comfortably fit underneath. Great bit of kit.

Those are a very very good idea.

If using a trolley jack etc, it can easily crush the seam between cill and bodywork.

This results in breaking the underseal seal, and the ingress of water.
The cills become:

And trust me, repair is expensive. I've had both sides done.

I use them on the wife's Golf and they work well.

Another reason why I don't jack on the sills - puts a lot more strain on them when lifting the weight of the car, compared to just supporting the weight of the car (with stands).

If I'm going to put it in stands I jack up on the front tow hitch, get stand under the driver's side, then put the jack under the sub-frame/engine jack point and lift it.

Yes that's the one. I've had mine for a few years and wonder how I strugglef with all the rubbsh smaller jacks before.

Fluctuates in price quite a bit, from £70 to £100 (probably depends upon branch also).

I use the 2 forward Purple Jackstand points to lift the car, as I can't see under to position the jack as per the red box. What are the 2 yellow circles?

Can be used as jacking points or axle stand points on the chassis frame.
