SIDC Membership

As someone who's not in the least bit interested in moddin their car (been there, done that in a previous life) and not particularly interested in track days, is there any benefit to joinin SIDC ?

I personally wouldn't get any 'value' from it because like you I'm not interested in SIDC trackdays or discounts - I can arrange both on my own account. However........
Magazine is good if thats your thing - I subscribe to Evo instead though, scoobies aren't the be all and end all in motoring.
The socials they do up in Scotland are fantastic - tours etc.
Isle of Man trip also looks a stunner.
I'm considering rejoining purely on the strength of that..as down south the social scene is more than adequately taken care of through scoobynet, but IOM and Tour d'ecosse(sp?) are two things I really would like to do with a bunch of enthusiasts.
