Default Insurance (not a scooby) for my daughter

Can anyone help?

She has been driving for 4 years 3 of which as a named driver. No claims aged 25
she only has a little 1.4 citroen c3.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I got insurance for my two lads via CRS, they were then the only company not to massively penalise young drivers. That's ten+ years ago, though.

I would also suggest trying Compare the Market etc.

Exactly £100 cheaper for me this year using Keith Michaels My second year with them and I can't see myself changing companies anytime soon.

My other daughter has her WRX insured with Gary at KM £70 less this year too. Unfortunately KM won't touch the C3 'as it's not a sports car '

If your daughter is main driver, put yourself or wife as named, it should help bring down the insurance a bit. Made a difference for me before.

She has her mum as named driver, she's past 25 since the last time, I always thought that turning 25 brought your premium down, it's a pi$$ take if you ask me

Easy solution, tell her to buy a WRX

Just reading up and it looks like, for most, prices have gone through the roof for insurance this year. Seems like a licence to print money. The amount of uninsured, untaxed and stolen vehicles probably doesn't help, but that is pure conjecture on my part.

Blame Liz Truss and the change in discount rate with the Ogden tables. Oh and look how much IPT has/will increase. Easy to blame insurers but take a look at the facts.

Update

Told her to phone insurance and decline renewal, they say 'that's ok, but I will ring you back' an hour later the 'reviewed' quote is now £26 a month less than last year

A £58 saving per month over the original quote over 11 months = £638 a year
