Is anyone running these wheels? I'm looking at getting the 18x8.5 with 225/45 Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres. Anyone running this setup and would like to share?
Great looking wheel correct tyre size is 225/40/18 if yours is widetrack you might get away with 235/40/18 I suspect depending how low your car is a 45 profile will be too tall
Mines just lowered on RB320 suspension so it's a little higher at the back than yours. Will probably get away with 225/45 and I don't like the look of a low profile on the scoobs. Needs some meat.
I have those Turini's on my 05 Sti Widetrack. They don't have Spigots and mine are ET48s. 235's are perfect and don't rub - but I do run a little camber up front. Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's have always treated me well. Dunlop Sport Max we shocking sent them back and got a refund when they disintegrated. Toyo's a bit greasy. Next I'll try Nankang NS2-R's or may Vred Sessanta's.
I have used vredsteins Sessantas, good all round tyre. I moved to nankang NS2Rs which were imo better, then nankang AR1s which for are for track or fast road and those are great too.
I'm running Yokohama AD08's at the minute great on track but a little noisy on the road I had Michelin pilot super sports on a previous car the best all round tyre I've ever fitted.
235/40 looks good, that's what I'm looking to do. Is yours on lowering springs? Mine's on RB320 suspension which I think is much of a drop as other aftermarket springs.

I am running Tein Monoflex - about the limit of what I can tolerate on the road (they are harder than Antyhony Joshua). I am running about 30mm drop all round and then 1.5 degrees camber, whiteline ARBs and ALK and I think I have the caster kit in there too.
Ok, I hope this works as I've never uploaded any pics before!
This should be pretty close to what you'll be looking at..
It's a wide track with RB320 suspension, 18x8 ET48 Turinis and Michelin Pilot Super Sports in 225/40. Hope this helps!
Yeah, I could see a little more tyre looking better, too. For me it's more about trouble free fitment, handling and keeping the weight down. Just be triple sure everything is gonna fit and put up some pics! Would be interesting to see the difference.
Looking at willtheyfit.com the wheels stick out 1.3mm further and the 245/40s move the tyres about 10mm up into the well which still has more than enough room in the front and rear. Eibach camber plates in the front so should be all good. The Speedlines are lighter than the OEM wheels so a little more tyre won't effect it.
Will do! Should have this done in next week or so.
Looks awesome! Exactly the same as mine! Except I'm going for te 18x8.5 ET53 Turinis. Looks good but I feel those wheels need a bit more meat on them.
you're right about protecting the rims, I have a set of speedline's being refurbed just now and all 4 need straightening @£40 per rim. They're on 225's. My OZ rims which are heavier, same tyre profile, have faired much better.
