How did that happen? Just from road use? I thought Turinis are pretty tough!

 

they're not Turinis but the older prodrive speedlines. They've done some trackwork but not has much as the OZ's. The fitter said it comes with low profile tyres and potholes. The outside rim is fine, it's the inside rim which isn't supported where the flat spots occur. None of the wheels would hold pressure, by contrast the OZ's hold pressure for months. Speedline's have Michelin Pilots, the OZ's have Goodyear Eagle F1's

 

Scoobaholic, how were the super sports on the scoob? I've got Bridgestone REO070s on it at the moment and hoping Pilot sport 4s will be as good. I feel like the REO070s are too track-like to get up to proper temperature on the road so the pilot sport 4s should be a lot better.

 

Ok, I see. I guess it depends on a lot of factors.. I haven't managed to bend any Turini yet but then I haven't hit any nasty pothole at speed either. I'll try keep it that way!

 

Compared to the RE070s I would say more grip in the dry, waaay more grip in the wet, a little softer ride quality, sharp turn-in but not quite like the re070s and a little smoother transition into sliding. If I needed tyres I would get them again.


Haven't seen any reviews of the Pilot sport 4s yet but assuming they managed to improve the MPSS even further then that's gonna be a good bet.
