Met up with a mate not seen for years turns out he has an evo 7
Mods are full exhaust inc elbow bigger intercooler induction kit

Trying to act our age and not get all fast and furious I offer him a passenger ride in scoob find bit Tarmac and give it 2 3 and fourth gear
We then have a run out in the evo

All in all a nice afternoons catch up with an old mate

The same lad tad three or four type r over the years
First off couldn't get over how Loud the scoob is
And the noise it makes he expected the burble
And the difference compared to the evo was night and day to be fair the evo is standard but he loved the car

For me the evo interior looked a bit dated granted the car is 7 years older than my scoob the power delivery is progressive never really pushed into the seat but eating up Tarmac at a rapid rate

Very enjoyable day I must admit

 

So who's is slower?

 

The scoob annihhales it into next week
But to be fair if it didn't I'd torch it

The evo looked very old I think in comparrison I nearly bought an evo 8 mr glad I didn't this Owens turbod jdm is something else

 

The 7 hasn't aged well. The 8, especially the MR versions, still look relatively fresh in comparison. I always thought Mitsubishi got it a bit wrong with the 7.

 

The Evo 7 has really aged bad(maybe because its next to a new-ish Impreza) Have you seen the rear arches on some of the Evo 7/8/9, they suffer the same problem as the classic Impreza's, difference is a classic with rusty arches are sub £3k cars where some Evo adverts Ive seen they still ask £10k+ with rusty arches.

Still have a soft spot for the Evo's but its got to be a white Evo 6 RS

 

Gow many hatch haters would look at that pic and say I'd take the hatch lol

 

The same can be said when parking a Bugeye next to an Evo 10. There is 7 years between the E7 and Hatch and three other evolution's.

 

Should be meeting another mate with evo 10 today get pics side by side

 

True but you can park anything next to a Bugeye and it would look good!!!

 

I'd have a bugeye anyday over a hatch or an evo but that's just me and my opinion

The hatch is the only Impreza I like
Weird isn't it I think it's got modern day intergrale look about it with flared arches and bulging wings.

 

I was only joking about the comment Id have a S202 any day!!!

 

I like all scoobys to be honest and the hatch has its own place with me it'd defo the wings and arches much less likely to get a lookalike

Same here, I've just never had any love for the saloons and really love my hatch. Same with the Evo, I would only have an Evo X and came really close to getting one 18 months ago. Probably will at some stage if a good 360 comes up.

 

I think the only place u could go from the hatch is a gtr but that won't be happening any time soon

 

I'd go for an Aston Martin convertible the day I ever leave the scooby scene never to look back
