Default Hatch STI wheels onto a Blob? What's needed?

Just wanting to know if anyone has done this? I tried the 18x8.5 (ET55 I believe) wheels from my 2012 saloon on the widetrack Blob and the tyre was touching the underside of the spring cup on the shock.

I've now switched to HSDs and am wondering if I can make them fit OK with some small spacers? Or will it likely hit the arch if I run them with spacers?

Don't want to mess about buying spacers to trial fit if it's going to be a waste of money! Tried that wheel calculator site and it said:

Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 8.3mm closer to the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 4.3mm more than before.

Probably would need 5mm spacers to clear the coilovers I reckon, but any informed opinions welcome.

Well I tried this. In the end the rears seemed to fit fine with 5mm spacers, but the fronts wouldn't go on without pressing against the HSDs.

I think probably an 8mm spacer would do it but I found 10mm on the rear left the wheel nut with only two full turns of thread. Longer studs would be needed to fit them I think.

Hope this helps someone else.
