Anyone know this Widetrack?
Considering buying it. Apparently previous owner was on the forums quite a bit.
Just looking for some history really.
It's got 99k and is pretty much standard. Recent convert, oil change, clutch, adjustable suspension, new discs and pads all round.
Up for £6.8k as he needs the cash quick.
Needs tidying up a bit as the front is littered with stone chips, wiper arms need painting but that's about it.

Hi mate. Yeah, sure, I know this car. The lad who owned it in 2011 went on holiday to Japan in March of that year, but rather than fly he decided to drive the Widetrack across the unforgiving terrain of Europe and Asia. Oh, don't worry, it didn't get hit by the tsunami. Unfortunately, however, it was parked up outside the Fukushima nuclear powerplant at the exact time the reactors blew, so it was exposed to obscene levels of radiation.
Soon after its illegal return to the UK, it was involved in an almighty crash involving a tractor and a tree. It was going to be classed as a Cat A, but due to the unprecedented extent of the damage, the insurance company decided to create a brand new classification especially for the car, Cat A*. Some dodgy backstreet outfit did a bodge and fixed it on the cheap, and then it got offloaded for £300. The mileage at this point was 420,000, so evidently it's been clocked since.
A few months later, it was nicked by a gang of Albanian car thieves. They ragged it from cold, red-lining it at every opportunity. It was then taken to a cut 'n shut shop, where it was ringed.
Finally, at the end of last year, whilst parked up in Cumbria, Storm Desmond did what the tsunami failed to do and flooded the poor car beneath eight feet of frigid rainwater. But don't worry, it was only submerged for three days, before it was eventually winched out upside down.
Oh, and it's never been serviced - all the stamps in the service book are forged.
Apart from this, it's a clean, straight car from what I know.
