I have an 05 STI Type UK, with the standard UK size plate on the back. But can't help being drawn to an import style plate. Does anyone have any pics of their rear plate setup?
Would be especially interested to see some different sizes and if people have used different plate surrounds which you can purchase. I just want to get an idea of it, as I don't want my car to look tacky.

I know its not legal, but this would be for show purposes of course...

All the bumpers are the same be it UK or import but to answer the question it's an import car and the insert will fit any of the Newage bumpers bug/blob/hawk U.K. Or jdm

 

Most Dealers supply their cars with an oversize rear plate.

 

 

ah ok, that's interesting to know. Can't make my mind up if I like those carbon inserts or not....

Has anyone got a smaller sized plate, but not in an insert? So just in the normal space a UK plate would sit in?

Great reg BTW , but why don't you use a standard size plate on the back to make use of the word ?

 

I've got one at home and had it on for a while but I get bored easily and the carbon insert is pretty nice as it won't fit with a standard size plate...keeps people guessing lol

 

You aren't wrong on the value either , worth a nice few quid if you ever needed the money

Providing you have uk standard lettering and the gap size between letters is correct then you could always trim the plate down
