Default 2.0 JDM WRX STi

Not been on for a while but I've been tempted with a 2.0 wrx sti (i.e. from Japan). Only one I can see in this country appears to be from Motorhub (aka Keighley) so I'm struggling to bring myself around to the idea of buying something from there.

Am I being overly cautious or could this one be ok?

Yeah I noticed that, but the £22k price would be about right for a dealer so think they are just trying to show it as a "bargain". Their reputation scares the life out of me though!

Out of interest, what's the difference in spec between the JDM and uk models?

2.0 twin scroll engine
Aluminium Rear under Spoiler
Rear Wiper
Carbon inserts in cabin
Sat Nav (Japanese unit)
Different wheels

I think the most important aspect is the engine.

Interesting. So it's a lighter car, with more torque and hopefully none of the issues we've seen with the 2.5.
If i was in a position to buy I'd be really tempted by that ad...

Yep, exactly the reason I've been looking into an import. It's just the length of time of the process and having to have the funds available rather than just doing a trade which is putting me off a little.

Having done some go ogling I think that import in the first post would need VAT paying on it as it's not done many miles. I wonder if that is why people don't want it. I don't imagine type approval would be an issue?

If it as been imported correctly then all charges would have been paid.

BUT it is Motorhub and I would want the Auction Sheet, JEVIC and a full inspection by a specialist Subaru garage before parting with any cash.

I've just googled Motorhub reviews. Bloody Hell they look bad.
Having just seen hundreds of reviews of people being ripped off I'd stay well away, regardless how much of a bargain the cars seem. They've got some good looking S204s at a decent price but I think I'll pass...
