Default Painting pillar pod

Bought a 60mm classic pillar pod this week from Rspec but they only come in 1 colour which is light grey.

My type r has dark grey/charcoal colour trim and the pillar pod is a full length so will look massively out of place if it fit it as it is.

I've never painted plastic before so before I do I thought i'd ask if anyone can guide me on plastic painting and does anyone else have one fitted?

The 2 door trim is 1 piece all the way over the door whereas the pillar pod looks similar to a newage trim that stops at the top.

You can buy plastic primer that is used before the top coat. You will need to clean the trim first to remove any residual grease/oil/dirt and also lightly key it. Then paint like any other part.

They now do plaatic specific aerosols.

Get a grey scothch and some degreaser, prep the panel, clean it then paint. Nice and easy
